Forage Pea’s are a great summer plot that over a high levels of protein and forgeability.  This a great additional to oats, triticale, and other small grains.  This is fast growing and will do well in poorly drained soils were other legumes struggle.

Planting:

  • Plant up to ½” inch deep

  • Spring into early summer

  • Drill 80-100 lbs per acre

  • Broadcast 100-120 lbs per acre

  • pH: 5.5-7.0

 

Soil Type Preference: Heavy or light, well or moderate drained
